Tennis Court Rules

All Hawthorn Glen/Farms (HGF) Amenities, including the Pool, Tennis Courts, Swing Set Area and associated recreation areas are for the use of HGF Residents who are current on their Annual Dues to the Homeowners association and have no outstanding fines. Additionally, all amenities will be closed during any inclement weather situations (rain, snow, hail, lightning, etc.).

  • Use of the tennis courts are at your own risk.
  • Courts are for tennis playing only! Bikes, Skates , Skateboards, Scooters, or other activities are prohibited on the court. Apart from Tennis balls, no other balls (basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc.) are allowed on the courts.
  • Appropriate shoes must be worn on the tennis courts at all times.
    • Only flat sole tennis shoes may be worn on the court.
    • No black soled shoes, sandals or flip-flops/slides may be worn.
    • No play in bare feet is permitted.
  • Metal rackets should have guards for protection of court surfaces.
  • Players must exhibit proper sportsmanship, i.e., no throwing of rackets and no profanity.
  • No one other than the actual players may be inside the fenced area. Those waiting to play, spectators, and children must stay outside the fenced area to avoid potential injury and to avoid interfering with those using the court.
  • No pets, chairs, stools, furniture, baby strollers, playpens or baby beds are allowed inside the fenced area.
  • No food, glass containers or beverages may be taken inside the fenced area, except water or sport drinks in non-breakable containers.
  • Jumping and swinging on the nets and/or fence is prohibited.
  • Place all trash in proper receptacles.
  • No smoking/vaping inside the court fences or in the area around the tennis courts.
  • Drugs and alcohol are forbidden/not allowed inside the court fences or in the area around the tennis courts. (Law enforcement will be contacted for all violators.)
  • No firearms or weapons of any kind are allowed in or around the tennis court area.
  • Children who are not playing tennis are not allowed on the court.

Parents (refers to the homeowner and/or tenants)  – Please be sure to go over these rules with your children so there will be no misunderstanding. Parents will be responsible for any damage to the tennis court, nets, etc. done by their child(ren).
